What changed
On September 30, 2026, Cloudflare extended Logpush to Free, Pro and Business accounts with self-service usage-based billing, while Enterprise customers continue under account-managed contracts. Logpush Transformers, which filter, redact, enrich and reshape logs with SQL before delivery, also became generally available. This changes both eligibility and operating economics for exporting edge traffic and security logs to storage or analytics systems.
Why it matters
A small SaaS or independently run website can now preserve and analyse its own raw Cloudflare request/security logs without buying Enterprise. That helps investigate incidents, build independent analytics and retain evidence. But exports are not unlimited or universally free: each meter has its own allowance, and destination storage and processing remain separately billable.
Three different meters, not one flat log price
Cloudflare measures internal exports, external exports and transformation separately, with separate included amounts. In its published example, 40GB internal, 60GB external and 5GB transformed yields $4.11 in Cloudflare Logpush usage charges before destination charges. A transformed pipeline can be billed for both its input and its output.
The practical unlock for small operators
Previously Enterprise-only log delivery can now feed R2, storage services and third-party observability systems from a Free account. The new Transformers capability can filter sensitive or noisy records at the edge before export, potentially reducing downstream cost and privacy exposure, although actual economics depend on the transformation and destination.
The exceptions matter
Workers Trace Events and OpenTelemetry exports have distinct pricing and eligibility. Enterprise contracts continue through renewal; do not extrapolate these GB rates to all Cloudflare observability products or all dataset access.
