Reddit Ads API is changing campaign objectives and retiring onsite lead forms in September

The current What's New page, Get A Report documentation and dedicated upcoming-reporting-changes guide consistently say that requests using the `HOUR` breakdown for more than seven days will begin returning errors on December 8, 2026. That reverses the October 30 date currently published in this dossier. Current site notices also use September 21 for the new campaign-objective enum rollout and lead-generation-form API changes, reducing the September 21/September 30 conflict that existed in the September 4 snapshot. Reddit has changed these published dates multiple times, so the current alignment is useful but should still be treated as a live operational schedule rather than an immutable promise.

The application changes are still the same—new objective handling, migration away from onsite lead forms and chunked hourly reports—but engineering calendars can be wrong even when they were based on Reddit's own documentation a few days earlier. The lesson for ad-tech integrations is operational: ship the compatibility work early and monitor the primary docs rather than treating a copied deadline as configuration data that never changes. The December 8 reporting date gives more time than the current dossier states, but the repeated reversals make a last-minute migration risky.
