GitHub's October 14 editor's correction confirms Actions workflow lockfiles are available on Free and Team as well as Enterprise Cloud—not enterprise-only as initially reported.
The platform now offers an objective-oriented /goal interface as well as Custom Flows; availability depends on GitLab 19.3+, Duo CLI 9.17+ and eligible tiers.
The useful change is containment rather than another browser-agent feature. Teams can let an agent operate a real browser while constraining its HTTP and HTTPS reach to the site and dependencies the task actually needs, reducing the blast radius of prompt injection, bad tool decisions or untrusted page content.
This is not a speculative browser bug. The vulnerable code sits in Chrome’s JavaScript and WebAssembly engine, exploitation is confirmed, and the remediation boundary is concrete: desktop Chrome needs the September 3 patched build or later.
JPEG XL now ships by default in Chrome 155 and Firefox 158; Safari supports still images, but Edge, installed-version lag and format tooling still warrant fallback delivery.
Developers get another paid web retrieval option for coding agents and applications; the introductory harness exemption expires October 31.
Agent checkout builders using UCP 2026-08-25 can now negotiate consent options, propagate customer choices and handle missing-data warnings instead of hardcoding merchant privacy defaults.
Firefox Enterprise 158 combines a Gecko-based browser with an on-premises management console, domain-level DLP and SIEM export. Initial sales focus on four European countries; ESR support and public pricing are not yet available.
Stripe expands Global Payouts to 160 stablecoin markets and 100-plus fiat markets, with stablecoin-backed Issuing cards launching in 27 EU countries; the announcement is about financial-product infrastructure, not ordinary subscription checkout.
PHPUnit's October 16 fixes extend output integrity from terminal text into XML logs, which could previously be malformed by test-controlled strings.
Live SQL subscriptions, a React/TypeScript SDK and scale-to-zero integration are available in four regions. Realtime is free during beta, but compute and egress still cost money, row-level security is absent, and the protocol is changing.
Google Ads API v26 begins a twice-monthly update cadence. Minor releases remain additive and sunset with their major version, so developers need a faster discovery workflow rather than twice as many breaking migrations.
Caddy 2.11.6 could crash HTTP/2 proxies and sever SSE streams at 60 seconds. Version 2.11.7 fixes both and adds RFC 10036 incremental streaming support.
Google's distributed SQL database can now run in production beyond Google Cloud, but 'deploy anywhere' doesn't mean free or fully managed. Spanner Omni GA brings security, backup and paid commercial licensing, with important limits on its developer edition.
Woodpecker's agent labels were self-reported and unsuitable for authorization. Version 3.19 adds server-held filters and patches a clone-step environment-variable leak; administrators should verify their worker policies.
The important part of pg_vault_tde's 1.7.2 release is the operational migration: v4 rows can still be read after upgrade, but UPDATE can crash until they are rewritten.
The certificate lifetime change is not a new CA or endpoint. It is a renewal-timing deadline for operators whose cron jobs assume 90-day certificates.
PostgreSQL operators gain per-statement and per-transaction estimated-cost limits across versions 14–18, useful for runaway reports and ORMs. The guard is disabled by default and can be bypassed by users allowed to change planner cost parameters.
The break is narrow but concrete: scripts and CI/CD calling the old route paths can fail, while monitoring code that expected `connections` inline must fetch it separately.
Bounded decision models are turning into a real model category. Cloudflare's entry is open-weight, multimodal and Jev-API compatible, while its fastest variant is aimed at latency-sensitive agent routing.
