CircleCI has consolidated three config-breaking changes onto a September 21 cutoff. Teams using legacy v2.0 syntax, out-of-scope parameters or unsupported regex constructs need to migrate before pipelines begin failing at compilation time.
Preferred Sources is now global, appears inside Google’s AI-search experiences, and has an embeddable publisher button. Google says readers are twice as likely to click a source after marking it preferred.
Node.js shipped v22.23.2, v24.18.1 and v26.5.1 to close a set of runtime vulnerabilities including an HTTP/2 use-after-free and a Permission Model path-matching bug that can over-grant filesystem access.
Supabase’s self-hosted stack now routes through Envoy by default, bringing new API-key support and hardened gateway defaults while breaking some Kong-specific assumptions.

Chrome 153 introduces a breaking provider-integration change in the Email Verification origin trial: issuance requests move to JSON with HTTP Message Signatures. Bun 1.4 combines an implementation-language rewrite with a larger built-in standard library and a substantial Node-compatibility push. Codex 0.149.0 includes the async-message tool, delivery metadata and removal of the client-side feature gate that BTN previously tracked only on main. Adobe Commerce and Magento merchants should treat CVE-2026-71362 as an urgent patch: independent security telemetry reports exploitation attempts even though Adobe’s bulletin still says it has not observed exploitation in the wild.
WordPress 7.1 is now generally available. Its always-iframed post editor removes a long-standing split between iframe and non-iframe contexts, while browser-side image processing moves more media work out of PHP and into WebAssembly.
GitHub OAuth apps can now use eight-hour access tokens with rotating refresh tokens, register up to 10 callback URLs, and explicitly control wildcard callback matching. New apps default to expiring tokens, while existing single-callback apps should review a legacy wildcard setting GitHub has now made visible.
