Click2Shell turns a theme-preview parsing bug into a supply-path problem: an attacker can force official catalog code onto a site without the administrator choosing Install, then potentially reach executable pre-activation theme code.
The exploitation signal has strengthened again: CISA added CVE-2026-87902 to KEV on September 25. That turns earlier vendor and security-company telemetry into formal U.S. government confirmation of in-the-wild exploitation.
This is not a speculative browser bug. The vulnerable code sits in Chrome’s JavaScript and WebAssembly engine, exploitation is confirmed, and the remediation boundary is concrete: desktop Chrome needs the September 3 patched build or later.
The integration brings Amazon’s catalog into YouTube’s native shopping layer. It reduces the gap between product recommendation and purchase compared with description links, but access currently requires both YouTube and Amazon affiliate eligibility and is still limited to a select group of creators.
The ruling does not decide whether AI Overviews hurt publisher traffic or whether reuse of publisher content is fair. It narrows one legal route for challenging that shift: these complaints did not turn the search-for-content relationship into an antitrust agreement, and the court said broader economic dislocation is a question for lawmakers.
For some queries, Google is no longer waiting for a user to open a longer AI Overview. The system can expand it automatically, creating a larger zero-click answer surface and moving traditional results further down the page.
Preferred Sources is now global, appears inside Google’s AI-search experiences, and has an embeddable publisher button. Google says readers are twice as likely to click a source after marking it preferred.
A security fix for a widely used PostgreSQL vector extension makes index-build permissions and extension patching part of AI search infrastructure hygiene.
The interesting change is not another CLI rename. Cloudflare is redesigning its command surface around software agents: JSON is the default, commands can be discovered through natural-language search, configuration is typed TypeScript, and Wrangler now has an eventual migration path.
The replacement is not a drop-in path rename: Cloudflare separates domain search, availability checks and registration operations into newer endpoints, so old registrar automation can break after the cutoff.
The technical-preview feature separates Copilot CLI from GitHub Cloud for core coding, shell and repository workflows, giving regulated and isolated environments a supported agent path while leaving cloud-dependent capabilities such as GitHub-hosted model selection and web search unavailable.
Product teams can launch a root-cause investigation from an Insights report, an alert or Mixpanel Agent instead of manually trying breakdown after breakdown. The result is operationally useful, but it remains an automated statistical diagnosis rather than proof of causation.
The August Local Services Ads migration is an operational cutoff, not a rebrand. Selected U.S. home and storefront service advertisers are moving into Google Ads now; teams need to export old reports and re-check budget and bidding assumptions before their account is transferred.
beehiiv has moved AI crawler policy from a voluntary robots.txt signal to an enforceable publisher control for Max and Enterprise custom-domain sites. Its new dashboard tracks 22 AI and search crawlers, while separate structured-data and llms.txt features target AI discovery rather than access control.
Google has moved the Smart Campaign API creation cutoff to September 23. New create operations will fail, while existing campaigns can still be updated and served; Google points developers toward Performance Max, Search or Demand Gen for new automation.
Google is tying licensed commercial content directly to an AI workspace: book ownership becomes the access control for grounded AI use. That gives publishers a new distribution path while keeping paid-source entitlement inside the AI experience.
Memory-bound agents, retrieval systems and stateful services can now choose 2-, 4-, 8- and 12-CPU Render plans with much wider RAM ratios. Existing plan prices and legacy IDs stay compatible; the new choices change the cost trade-off for workloads that previously had to overbuy CPU to get enough memory.
Grok 4.6’s distribution expanded unusually quickly after launch. Builders can now evaluate and deploy the model through AWS, Google and Microsoft enterprise AI platforms while keeping each cloud’s existing governance, logging and regional-control layer.
Google Cloud’s Developer Device Platform is now in public preview with remote physical-device streaming, parallel emulator testing, smart sharding and an agent skill that can drive multi-step journeys, inspect visual issues and feed fixes back into coding agents. It is billed per active device minute and remains a pre-GA service.
A missed call can now become a billable Google Local Services Ads lead. Advertisers should review phone routing, business hours and the 30-day credit window rather than assuming only answered calls count.
