Theme developers using Shopify CLI 3.83.x and older against password-protected storefronts are now past the documented cutoff. Shopify requires 3.84.0 or later for these flows; the live changelog's September 23 date supersedes the earlier October 1 deadline in this dossier.
Teams with pinned, custom-image or auto-update-disabled GitHub Actions runners can now see registration or job execution fail before the September 25 cutoff. The migration is not just a one-time jump to v2.329.0: already-registered runners must also stay within 30 days of the latest runner release.
Rosetta’s transition is now an application compatibility deadline rather than an open-ended safety net. Intel-only Mac apps need an Apple-silicon build before support ends after macOS 27, with only a narrow exception retained for older unmaintained games.
The CLI itself is not being deprecated. The risk is narrower and operational: stale Linux repository keyrings can stop package installs or updates from verifying after the old signing key expires.
The August 28 transition is now active, and Railway’s current documentation removes an earlier ambiguity about new services in existing projects. Config as Code is legacy-only from here; production users should migrate and validate `.railway/railway.ts` before the December hard cutoff.
The checkout ScriptTag shutdown already had an earlier deadline; this is the separate storefront cutoff. Pinning an old Admin API version will not preserve write access after October, and any feature still depending on an injected storefront script stops working in March.
The useful part is not the 800,000-line headline. GitHub has published unusually detailed receipts for a production-scale agent-assisted migration: roughly $120,000 of token spend, 14.5 weeks of incremental releases, dozens of regressions, extensive compatibility tests and a workload-specific jump from 7.55 to 120 session lifecycles per second.
The technical migration is unchanged, but Reddit's documentation has proven unusually volatile. Integrations should now treat September 21 as the current objective/form readiness date and December 8 as the current published cutoff for HOUR reports longer than seven days—while continuing to recheck the live docs before each deadline.
Gemini Omni Flash has crossed from preview into a production API with a broader editing surface. Builders can extend existing clips and interpolate between images, but preview integrations now have a September migration deadline.
Chrome 153 introduces a breaking provider-integration change in the Email Verification origin trial: issuance requests move to JSON with HTTP Message Signatures. Chrome has also extended the experiment through 156, making the migration more than a one-release test detail while the underlying protocol remains experimental.
Linux app developers no longer face an outright AI-generated-code exclusion, but they must identify affected code and documentation, write manifests without AI assistance and keep agents out of the submission workflow.
From December 3, agent workflows that ask Atlassian's Teamwork Graph for cross-product context will need a cost budget. Most enriched tool calls use 1–10 Rovo credits, with paid overages at $0.01 per credit.
The useful boundary change is that Copilot can now cross from code and terminals into ordinary desktop interfaces, with per-app approval and organisation-level controls.
Jev made bounded decision models visible; Strands Decider makes the pattern reproducible inside an agent stack. AWS replaced Qwen3.5-2B's language-generation head with a small scoring head and released the recipe, creating a local alternative for decisions that do not need a full generative model.
Investigations has crossed from preview into production and incident.io now reports a large latency improvement in its own measured workflow. The agent continuously reassesses evidence and can hand remediation to coding agents, but the new speed and accuracy figures remain vendor-produced rather than independent.
The important change is not simply that Claude can run several agents. Projects now owns decomposition, shared context, branch isolation and progress coordination across full Claude Code sessions, while the trade-offs become usage burn, cloud-only execution and ordinary merge conflicts when parallel work overlaps.
The Hyperdrive integration was the practical database unlock; the larger September 21 change is that Python Workers themselves are now GA. Cloudflare is explicitly positioning Python as a production language on Workers, with native platform bindings and framework support rather than an experimental compatibility layer.
The useful shift is not another CLI convenience. A coding agent can now create a Shopify dev environment, populate it with existing API and bulk-operation tooling, test against it and tear it down without a person opening the Dev Dashboard.
The technical-preview feature separates Copilot CLI from GitHub Cloud for core coding, shell and repository workflows, giving regulated and isolated environments a supported agent path while leaving cloud-dependent capabilities such as GitHub-hosted model selection and web search unavailable.
The workflow shift is continuity rather than another model upgrade: one Kiro agent session can outlive the laptop that started it. Cloud configuration can also carry agent setup across environments, although enterprise governance is not identical between local and web/cloud surfaces.
