Formbricks 6.0 makes SpiceDB mandatory for self-hosted surveys — and ends legacy follow-ups in December

The consequential change in Formbricks 6 isn't its new charts: self-hosted operators need a separate authorization service, a maintenance window and verified migration before enabling v6 traffic. Existing follow-up automations also have a December deadline.

Cloudflare makes Python Workers GA — with Hyperdrive and first-class platform bindings

The Hyperdrive integration was the practical database unlock; the larger September 21 change is that Python Workers themselves are now GA. Cloudflare is explicitly positioning Python as a production language on Workers, with native platform bindings and framework support rather than an experimental compatibility layer.

Homebrew 7.0 turns package vulnerability checks into a built-in workflow — after closing a sudo-capable cask flaw

The practical change is bigger than another package-manager version. Homebrew can now tell operators whether vulnerabilities are actually outstanding in the formula revisions they installed, while its own recent advisories show why package-manager metadata, uninstall paths and build isolation deserve the same scrutiny as package contents.

Reddit’s tracked share of ChatGPT Search citations fell 86% in mid-August

A third-party GEO dataset recorded an 86.4% relative collapse in Reddit’s visible ChatGPT Search citation share while Google AI citation changes were much smaller. The result is a useful warning against building an AI-discovery strategy around one source platform, not proof of an OpenAI penalty or Reddit removal.

GitHub Copilot is moving enterprise seats to upfront billing and longer chat retention

From September and October, Copilot Business and Enterprise seat access becomes more tightly coupled to upfront payment. A separate September 28 policy migration enables a unified Copilot experience by default, retains github.com chat data for the life of the account and changes code review’s default effort from Lite to Balanced.

Amazon Aurora Serverless gets faster burst scaling

Aurora Serverless can now add roughly 12 ACUs in the first second of a scale-up event on platform versions 3 and 4. The change is automatic and is most useful for bursty SaaS, API, batch and agent workloads, but it does not remove the separate resume delay when a database has scaled all the way to zero.
