Aurora Serverless can now add roughly 12 ACUs in the first second of a scale-up event on platform versions 3 and 4. The change is automatic and is most useful for bursty SaaS, API, batch and agent workloads, but it does not remove the separate resume delay when a database has scaled all the way to zero.
Investigations has crossed from preview into production and incident.io now reports a large latency improvement in its own measured workflow. The agent continuously reassesses evidence and can hand remediation to coding agents, but the new speed and accuracy figures remain vendor-produced rather than independent.
DuckDB's agent-aware CLI aims to make tool output safer and more compact for coding agents. Its own experiment showed 59% fewer CLI-output tokens but only about 0.5% lower total input cost, so practical gains need careful interpretation.
The exploitation signal has strengthened again: CISA added CVE-2026-87902 to KEV on September 25. That turns earlier vendor and security-company telemetry into formal U.S. government confirmation of in-the-wild exploitation.
Jev’s launch claims were interesting; Vercel’s usage data is more useful. Nearly 13% of paid AI Gateway teams tried the typed decision model in its first day, while Jev also rose to a material share of gateway requests. That does not establish retention or production success, but it is unusually fast developer uptake for a model designed to make bounded software decisions rather than generate prose.
The faster browser cadence is no longer just a published schedule. Firefox 155 is live and Chrome 153 has begun staged Stable rollout, leaving web teams with materially less time between major compatibility boundaries.
Cloud Run instances sit between autoscaling serverless services and a small VM. They run one individually addressable container continuously, can be stopped and restarted, and use shared CPU economics; Google’s launch example prices 1 vCPU plus 1 GiB running for 30 days at $5.70.
The change turns webhook reliability from a mostly passive retry problem into an inspectable operational surface: configuration tests, event-specific failure state, owner alerts and health endpoints give email systems earlier warning when downstream integrations are broken.
The previously reported Stripe–OpenRouter deal is now official. The companies have announced an acquisition agreement, removing the dossier’s main uncertainty; the next questions are closing, product independence, pricing and how deeply Stripe integrates token routing with billing.
Supabase’s self-hosted stack now routes through Envoy by default, bringing new API-key support and hardened gateway defaults while breaking some Kong-specific assumptions.
Caddy 2.11.6 could crash HTTP/2 proxies and sever SSE streams at 60 seconds. Version 2.11.7 fixes both and adds RFC 10036 incremental streaming support.
Retailers can now submit warranty duration as structured product-feed data, but the new Google field does not replace Quebec's mandatory near-price disclosures or the underlying free repair guarantee.
JPEG XL now ships by default in Chrome 155 and Firefox 158; Safari supports still images, but Edge, installed-version lag and format tooling still warrant fallback delivery.
Developers can now train and evaluate adapters through custom code while Together runs the GPU-heavy operations. The flexibility comes with B200-only support, a $100 credit threshold and ongoing charges for idle ready resources.
Google is moving source links higher in AI answers, testing prominent official-site panels and expanding news carousels, while Preferred Sources use has grown more than sevenfold in 2026.
Meta Muse Spark Open is genuinely downloadable, unlike a promised future weight release. But 42B active parameters do not make its 816B weights cheap to host, and the Muse Model License is not Apache or MIT: model-as-a-service operators over $20M in affiliated annual gross revenue need a separate agreement.
After Chrome 153's signed-JSON migration, Chrome 154 brings Android and third-party origin-trial support and changes the issuance request's Sec-Fetch-Dest value. Chrome 156 will reject provider tokens whose email claim does not exactly match the submitted address.
Shopify's App Pricing migration is now clearer: directly matching subscriptions can move through plan setup, while usage-based and price-mismatched subscriptions stay on the Billing API until a separate Migration API arrives.
