A follow-up security fix shows why wrapper capabilities need path restrictions as well as origin checks: tinyjs 0.48.0 now confines direct PDF writes and requires user confirmation for other locations.
PHP's official extension installer can now install multiple packages in one command and select missing project extensions without prompting. PIE 1.5 also improves attestation verification for its own updates.
The sharpest operational trap is CVE-2026-91768: PHP-FPM’s listen.allowed_clients can treat an allowed IPv6 address as an entire /96 prefix. Teams relying on that ACL should patch rather than assuming the configured address restriction is exact.
Theme developers using Shopify CLI 3.83.x and older against password-protected storefronts are now past the documented cutoff. Shopify requires 3.84.0 or later for these flows; the live changelog's September 23 date supersedes the earlier October 1 deadline in this dossier.
The deadline is no longer theoretical: browsers, Git HTTPS backends and API clients that still depend on SHA-1-era TLS algorithms can now lose connectivity to GitHub.com.
Cloudflare’s crawler controls now distinguish between refusing AI training and refusing the crawler itself. The new Disallow AI Training option is designed to keep search discoverability while expressing a training opt-out to operators that meet Cloudflare’s Accountable requirements.
This is not a normal container refresh. InfluxDB 3 is a ground-up architecture change with different query and storage assumptions, and Flux is not supported. Treating `latest` as a harmless moving patch tag can therefore turn an ordinary image pull into an unplanned database migration.
The important change is enforcement. WordPress.org already had a release cooldown and automated scanning, but high-risk results can now stop a plugin update automatically instead of waiting for the Plugins Team to intervene.
The change is separate from post-quantum TLS. DNSSEC signatures authenticate DNS records, and ML-DSA-44 makes them dramatically larger — 2,420 bytes per signature — while dual-signing with older algorithms creates a downgrade path unless resolvers enforce the post-quantum chain deliberately.
The useful shift is automation at the CDN-to-origin boundary: operators no longer need to manually force post-quantum key exchange, while Cloudflare says its measured HelloRetryRequest rate fell from about 52% to 3.7% across the scanned cohort.
The security shift is deeper than running application containers as non-root: the node stack itself can now live inside a user namespace. The feature is enabled by default in 1.37, but clusters do not become rootless automatically and CNI/CSI compatibility still needs testing.
Rosetta’s transition is now an application compatibility deadline rather than an open-ended safety net. Intel-only Mac apps need an Apple-silicon build before support ends after macOS 27, with only a narrow exception retained for older unmaintained games.
Cloud SQL’s SQL Server HA path is becoming more transparent to applications: supported proxies and connectors can target one write endpoint and be redirected when the primary changes. Teams still need retry-safe connection handling around the failover itself.
Project Zenith is not a new model or another Copilot feature. It standardizes a developer-focused Windows experience and hardware floor for local AI work, with preconfigured tooling and OS settings intended to reduce setup friction and dependence on metered cloud inference.
From January 2027, Gmail will no longer send mail as non-Google addresses or fetch third-party accounts through Gmailify/POP on the web. Forwarding into Gmail and third-party accounts in the mobile app remain available, so small-business and custom-domain users need to distinguish the affected desktop workflow from Gmail’s broader mail protocols.
Cloudflare’s first half-year DDoS report records 935 network-layer attacks above 1 Tbps and a 519% Q1-to-Q2 increase, but says 96.62% of attacks stayed below 500 Mbps and 90.60% ended within 10 minutes. The figures are Cloudflare-network telemetry, not a neutral census of the internet.
AWS is changing how Lambda introduces managed runtimes: Node.js 26 and Python 3.15 are available in public preview before GA, with normal runtime identifiers that automatically graduate when the runtimes become production-ready.
Azure’s old PostgreSQL versions do not switch off on September 1, but they do become a paid legacy choice. Extended Support is automatic, billed by vCore-hour for running servers, and cannot be declined while an unsupported engine version remains in use.
supabase-js 2.112.3 materially improves the tracing rollout BTN covered earlier: unsampled requests now still carry traceparent for backend log correlation, tracing misconfiguration produces warnings, and browser Edge Function calls need current CORS headers to admit W3C trace context.
Cloud CDN can now honor CDN-Cache-Control separately from browser-facing Cache-Control. That gives builders a standards-based way to set shared-cache behavior at the edge while preserving different client-side caching rules.
