Stacked pull requests are now generally available on GitHub. The shift matters as coding agents make large changes faster than humans can safely review them: teams can keep one coherent change dependency-ordered while reviewing it as smaller PRs.
The practical change is that debugging a Cloudflare-backed application no longer has to stop at the Worker boundary: one trace can follow security, cache, routing, Worker and origin handling, while logs and traces move toward one query and pricing model.
Jev, CLM and GLiNER2.5-Decide made bounded software decisions look like a distinct model category. OpenAI is now validating the same architectural split with a Luna-powered API designed to answer finite questions rather than generate open-ended prose.
The useful shift is architectural: agent permissions no longer have to depend only on the model or harness behaving correctly. OpenShell puts policy enforcement in the execution environment, while Sentry is designed to keep watching from a separate hardware trust domain.
GLiNER2.5-Decide attacks the same bounded-decision layer as Jev and CLM from a much smaller encoder architecture. Its strongest benchmark claims are vendor-produced, but CPU deployment and constrained joint decoding make it a materially different option for software-facing AI decisions.
MiMo-V2.6 is more useful than another benchmark launch because builders get both capable multimodal weights and a rare view into the reinforcement-learning machinery that produced them: code, environments, run costs and even failure notes from the training cluster.
The observe–test–release loop now has explicit economics: Free and Pro include 30,000 captured generations and 25 million system-initiated AI tokens per month; Pro overages start at $1.50 per 1,000 generations and $2 per million LLM Eval/Guard tokens, while ordinary telemetry is billed separately.
The useful change is containment rather than another browser-agent feature. Teams can let an agent operate a real browser while constraining its HTTP and HTTPS reach to the site and dependencies the task actually needs, reducing the blast radius of prompt injection, bad tool decisions or untrusted page content.
The distribution shift matters beyond another sales-channel integration: product discovery, checkout, attribution and analytics can now happen off the merchant’s own storefront, and some familiar client-side pixels and checkout customizations do not travel with the order.
The technical-preview feature separates Copilot CLI from GitHub Cloud for core coding, shell and repository workflows, giving regulated and isolated environments a supported agent path while leaving cloud-dependent capabilities such as GitHub-hosted model selection and web search unavailable.
OpenAI’s internal data turns “agents make researchers faster” into a measurable operating model: heavy concurrent agent use, record experiment throughput and rising task complexity, alongside high token spend and persistent human intervention on longer work.
The security shift is deeper than running application containers as non-root: the node stack itself can now live inside a user namespace. The feature is enabled by default in 1.37, but clusters do not become rootless automatically and CNI/CSI compatibility still needs testing.
Approved apps can move from the standard 20%/25% non-recurring service-fee rates to 15%/20% for new/existing installs from September 30, before any applicable billing fee. Current enrollment is limited to developer account groups with at least $1 million in earnings over the previous 12 months.
Periskope is moving toward a hybrid SaaS model: core access is still licensed per user, but variable AI work is now represented by credits that can be topped up separately. Monthly customers also face a 17–25% seat-price increase while annual rates remain unchanged.
The two August 28 changes move a common production-agent problem out of bespoke application code: builders can derive memory boundaries from authenticated JWT claims, enforce them with Cedar policy, and organize the stored memory using runtime tenant dimensions.
Cloud Storage project deletion no longer necessarily destroys every soft-deleted bucket immediately. Google’s August 17 change makes bucket retention part of project-recovery behavior, affecting disaster recovery, teardown assumptions and ongoing storage cost.
Cursor has become a concrete example of coding-tool supplier risk: a corporate acquisition can trigger a frontier-model provider’s change-of-control rights and remove a major model family from the product even when the coding tool itself remains operational.
Amplitude’s new consent gating separates the visible experiment experience from persistence and measurement. Sites can avoid experiment flicker before a consent decision, but denied users’ buffered impressions are discarded and Analytics consent still has to be handled separately.
The new 10-worker ceiling is a niche but concrete scaling change for platforms using Cloudflare Dynamic Workers as agent code sandboxes, generated-app runtimes or multi-tenant automation workers. Ordinary Worker requests remain capped at four distinct Dynamic Workers in flight.
The AI Compute Partnership tied Nvidia more directly to the capital structure and utilization risk of emerging cloud providers. Reuters says the initiative is now paused amid concerns about circular demand, control over partners and antitrust exposure, although Nvidia says the broader compute-access model continues to evolve.
