Teams with pinned, custom-image or auto-update-disabled GitHub Actions runners can now see registration or job execution fail before the September 25 cutoff. The migration is not just a one-time jump to v2.329.0: already-registered runners must also stay within 30 days of the latest runner release.
The security shift is deeper than running application containers as non-root: the node stack itself can now live inside a user namespace. The feature is enabled by default in 1.37, but clusters do not become rootless automatically and CNI/CSI compatibility still needs testing.
Agent Identity is moving from a standalone credential boundary into a mainstream serverless runtime. Cloud Run can now assign agent identities and register agents/MCP servers automatically, reducing custom discovery and identity plumbing while keeping the runtime integration itself in Preview.
The newer `critical=false` daemon control changes ECS Managed Instances from an all-daemons-are-instance-critical model to an explicit reliability trade-off: logging, metrics or security agents can fail without forcing application workloads off the host, while ECS still emits health events and action logs.
The interesting part is not another AI scanner. Cloudflare is connecting source-code evidence to what is actually deployed and being attacked at the edge, validating findings outside the model, then preparing both a code patch and, where appropriate, a narrowly scoped WAF mitigation for customer review.
Cloud Run instances sit between autoscaling serverless services and a small VM. They run one individually addressable container continuously, can be stopped and restarted, and use shared CPU economics; Google’s launch example prices 1 vCPU plus 1 GiB running for 30 days at $5.70.
Postmark’s new IP Allowlisting creates an extra sending boundary around API credentials: trusted infrastructure can send normally, while requests from outside configured ranges fail even if the token itself is valid. SMTP is not covered.
Supabase has implemented MCP Enterprise-Managed Authorization using identity-provider assertions, short-lived tokens and existing Supabase role boundaries. It gives organizations a central on/off switch for approved AI clients while keeping access scoped to the individual employee rather than sharing a powerful organization token.
Fin’s new Evals and Releases features let teams test agent changes against simulated conversations before publishing, bundle configuration into a release, ramp traffic or A/B test it, and feed failures from live Monitors back into the next iteration.
Agent Plugins 1.0 now has documented support across VS Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Codex, Kiro and several open-source agents. That makes the format materially more useful for cross-client distribution, but portable components remain limited to Agent Skills and MCP servers while permissions, hooks, commands and host UX stay client-specific.
Meta has made the privacy-versus-price trade explicit in its Model API: developers can choose standard pricing or a contributor model ID with steeply discounted inference in exchange for training-data permission. The choice matters for proprietary code, customer data and AI SaaS workloads.
The October 8–15 ChatGPT referral dip was a tagging fault, according to an Adobe analyst who says OpenAI confirmed it privately. Mark the reporting gap; the lost attribution will not automatically reappear.
Vendor-run live-store testing exposes the trade-off between containment, quality and response speed. Store configuration matters, and the evaluator's commercial conflict requires care.
Developers can now train and evaluate adapters through custom code while Together runs the GPU-heavy operations. The flexibility comes with B200-only support, a $100 credit threshold and ongoing charges for idle ready resources.
The existing coverage-first mode keeps more query detail at the cost of possible series growth. Cost-first applies all reductions but only restores detail within the same series budget; it is a guardrail against metric-cardinality spikes, not a guarantee of a fixed bill.
The multi-retailer cart, previously previewed in May, is now available in the US. Price alerts, promo-code suggestions and Google Pay or merchant checkout could reshape how ecommerce sellers measure product discovery and conversion.
CVE-2026-97229 carries GitLab's maximum 10.0 CVSS score. The 19.3 patch line requires 19.3.5, not the initially issued 19.3.4, because of an Ona integration regression.
Existing Vercel Pro customers have a concrete October 23 deadline to preserve older deployment history, plus new storage charges that begin on team-specific dates.
