GitHub makes enterprise licence compliance a pull-request merge gate — with an API for coding agents
A new GitHub ruleset can stop unapproved dependency licences at merge time, and agents can check packages before recommending them.

Cloud SQL’s SQL Server HA path is becoming more transparent to applications: supported proxies and connectors can target one write endpoint and be redirected when the primary changes. Teams still need retry-safe connection handling around the failover itself.
The change is not about where database rows live; Cloud SQL already has regional instance placement. It changes where API control traffic is processed, reducing dependence on global frontend infrastructure and making data-in-transit boundaries easier to align with sovereignty requirements.
SQLite 3.54 adopters on 32-bit targets should move to 3.54.1 rather than staying on 3.54.0; users on 64-bit builds should assess the other maintenance fixes and compatibility changes.
Live SQL subscriptions, a React/TypeScript SDK and scale-to-zero integration are available in four regions. Realtime is free during beta, but compute and egress still cost money, row-level security is absent, and the protocol is changing.
The October 6 release is broader than WordPress 7.1.2's single critical RCE fix: it closes seven separate core flaws, including stored XSS through pending comments, second-order SQL injection in WXR exports and unauthenticated disclosure of comments on private posts.
The practical change is that debugging a Cloudflare-backed application no longer has to stop at the Worker boundary: one trace can follow security, cache, routing, Worker and origin handling, while logs and traces move toward one query and pricing model.
WordPress 7.2 adds NO_BACKSLASH_ESCAPES to wpdb's incompatible SQL modes. It's a targeted fix for escaping failures, not a server-wide setting or blanket SQL injection cure.
Coolify 4.4.0 adds opt-in proxy traffic analytics, external secret managers, OIDC login, audit trails, Cloudflare DNS and experimental SQLite. Operators need to account for proxy restarts, Caddy redeploys and feature maturity.
Two pgJDBC vulnerabilities affect different older driver ranges and only specific connection or binary-write configurations. Upgrade and verify the affected paths rather than treating this as a PostgreSQL server vulnerability.
Google Cloud customers gain a new route to OpenAI models with unified governance and cloud-commitment billing, but broad availability and some privacy features are still forthcoming.
Agent Identity is moving from a standalone credential boundary into a mainstream serverless runtime. Cloud Run can now assign agent identities and register agents/MCP servers automatically, reducing custom discovery and identity plumbing while keeping the runtime integration itself in Preview.
PingCAP reports an internal-systems breach affecting TiDB Cloud account and SQL-editor records; customers should rotate management keys and credentials shared in support tickets.
Cloudflare Computer 0.7 makes agent code resumable and interruptible. The important catch: recovery replays code, and unrecorded external actions can be repeated even if they already succeeded.
Cloudflare discloses cross-tenant GLM-5.3 Workers AI responses caused by a KV-cache rejection bug; SGLang v0.5.22 is recommended for disaggregated inference operators.
PQ GeoKey Manager uses hybrid cryptography, regional root keys and fail-closed key unwrapping. General availability is planned for Q1 2027; CDN integration and independent assurance remain outstanding.
Grafana Pages goes beyond dashboard panels: prompt-built interactive pages can use connected telemetry and invoke external tools via MCP. It is a public Grafana Cloud preview, not a self-managed release.
Request-only WAF rules cannot always tell whether an exploit succeeded. Cloudflare now correlates requests with origin responses, adds managed response blocking and permits three custom response rules.
Hetzner Cloud customers can test its home-built eBPF network stack, which raises connection-tracking limits to 120,000 per IP family and changes full-table firewall behaviour. Beta migration carries downtime and DHCP route caveats.
Cloudflare and VoidZero are developing tsrs under Oxc with the TypeScript team. The early Rust checker claims up to 8x speed and 70% lower memory than TypeScript 7.0 under matched worker counts, but is not a drop-in stable compiler yet.
