PgBouncer operators should update to 1.26.1: the release closes CVE-2026-107350 and two unauthenticated DoS issues, with a small startup-parameter compatibility change.
Agents and operations tooling can inspect HA health, trigger switchovers, restore to a timestamp and change connection pooling from one machine-readable surface. That increases automation power, but recovery actions still create real operational boundaries such as brief failover interruption and forked PITR services.
Firefox Enterprise 158 combines a Gecko-based browser with an on-premises management console, domain-level DLP and SIEM export. Initial sales focus on four European countries; ESR support and public pricing are not yet available.
Stripe expands Global Payouts to 160 stablecoin markets and 100-plus fiat markets, with stablecoin-backed Issuing cards launching in 27 EU countries; the announcement is about financial-product infrastructure, not ordinary subscription checkout.
Neon now includes 100 separate free Postgres projects with 1GB each, 100 compute-unit hours per project and branching. It is a meaningful per-project allowance increase, not an unrestricted production database tier.
JPEG XL is leaving the experimental-browser niche. Chrome 155 now decodes it by default, but Edge, older installed browsers and Safari's partial feature set still require fallbacks.
Stripe is seeing more new SaaS-style platform businesses, not fewer: new platform launches rose more than 180% year over year, and recent cohorts are reaching meaningful payment volume faster. The dataset is vendor-produced, but unusually concrete.
Connection Allowlists turn outbound browser networking into an explicit allowlist for Fetch and other web-platform APIs. The control is opt-in and currently Chromium-only, and strict policies can break legitimate dependencies such as FedCM identity-provider requests if teams omit required endpoints.
CVE-2026-105445 moved personal access tokens across Docker Hub identities without rotating their secrets. Affected users were notified and tokens deactivated after the September 30 fix, but the two-year exposure illustrates a container supply-chain trust boundary.
After Chrome 153's signed-JSON migration, Chrome 154 brings Android and third-party origin-trial support and changes the issuance request's Sec-Fetch-Dest value. Chrome 156 will reject provider tokens whose email claim does not exactly match the submitted address.
Early HTML-in-Canvas adopters need Chrome-version compatibility checks and a migration for renamed WebGL/WebGPU methods, drawable DOM markup and accessibility geometry; the feature remains an origin trial.
Workers KV Instant is built for hot-path flags, not general storage: Cloudflare quotes 1.62ms p99 reads, $0.20 per million reads, $0.10 per write and $100 per MB each month. Private beta limits are strict.
A security fix for a widely used PostgreSQL vector extension makes index-build permissions and extension patching part of AI search infrastructure hygiene.
The 10GB Hobby storage cap has not changed, but the consequence of crossing it has. Vercel has removed the previous 30-day grace period for non-exempt deployments, shrinking the rollback and preview history free-plan builders can assume will remain available.
This is an identity-system failure rather than an application bug: a vulnerable Keycloak deployment can let an attacker turn the legitimate “forgot password” flow into full account takeover without credentials or victim interaction. Upgrade is the proper fix; disabling Forgot Password in every realm is Red Hat’s temporary mitigation.
The change is separate from post-quantum TLS. DNSSEC signatures authenticate DNS records, and ML-DSA-44 makes them dramatically larger — 2,420 bytes per signature — while dual-signing with older algorithms creates a downgrade path unless resolvers enforce the post-quantum chain deliberately.
This is a useful reminder that exploitation pressure does not scale neatly with plugin popularity: Wordfence says it has blocked more than 250,000 attempts against a plugin with a five-figure install base.
The useful shift is automation at the CDN-to-origin boundary: operators no longer need to manually force post-quantum key exchange, while Cloudflare says its measured HelloRetryRequest rate fell from about 52% to 3.7% across the scanned cohort.
