Paddle brings recurring Pix payments to SaaS subscriptions in Brazil

Brazilian customers can authorize Pix Automático mandates for Paddle subscriptions without a separate early-access application. The path broadens local-payment access for SaaS, while delayed renewals, fixed mandate amounts and re-authorisation requirements still create implementation caveats.

Cloudflare makes Python Workers GA — with Hyperdrive and first-class platform bindings

The Hyperdrive integration was the practical database unlock; the larger September 21 change is that Python Workers themselves are now GA. Cloudflare is explicitly positioning Python as a production language on Workers, with native platform bindings and framework support rather than an experimental compatibility layer.

X has replaced Creator Revenue Sharing with Original Content Rewards — and U.S. payouts now require X Money

X’s replacement creator program is now live enough to expose a new dependency: U.S. creators must route Original Content Rewards payouts through X Money, and one X Money account can connect to only one X account. Eligibility and qualified-impression rules remain unchanged.

Reddit opens Max campaign creation to third-party Ads API clients

The change makes Reddit's more automated campaign type usable by agencies, ad-tech platforms and internal campaign systems instead of only through first-party buying surfaces. It expands automation reach, but third-party builders inherit Max's creative and optimization assumptions rather than gaining a new manual campaign type.

Amazon SES can now switch open and click tracking per email request

The new request-level controls make email measurement a per-send decision: an application can keep one SES configuration set while disabling open or click tracking for recipients who should not be measured. The override wins over the configuration-set default and adds no separate feature charge.

Mixpanel AI can now investigate why a product metric changed and return the result as a working Board

Product teams can launch a root-cause investigation from an Insights report, an alert or Mixpanel Agent instead of manually trying breakdown after breakdown. The result is operationally useful, but it remains an automated statistical diagnosis rather than proof of causation.

Railway has stopped new services adopting Config as Code ahead of the December 1 hard cutoff

The August 28 transition is now active, and Railway’s current documentation removes an earlier ambiguity about new services in existing projects. Config as Code is legacy-only from here; production users should migrate and validate `.railway/railway.ts` before the December hard cutoff.

Meta’s approved U.S. teen settlement makes daily limits and nighttime blocks default on Instagram and Facebook

The settlement has crossed from proposed agreement to approved operating constraint. Meta now says the two-hour limit counts activity across Facebook, Instagram and detected multiple accounts, while teens also gain controls for non-algorithmic feeds and autoplay; most terms are required to remain in place for ten years.

WordPress Studio is making an agentic build loop the default desktop experience

Studio Code was already available in WordPress Studio, but the August 24 redesign changes the default workflow: the coding agent now sits at the center of the desktop app beside a live local WordPress preview, with point-and-annotate feedback and one-click hosting sync. The beta also ends the earlier unlimited-free framing by introducing a credit limit and paid top-ups.

Chrome Web Store now defaults publishers to two extension slots and is retiring Featured badges

Chrome extension publishers now face individualized publication caps, with two slots as the default for new or low-history accounts. Existing extensions remain published, increases can be requested, and Google is also retiring the Featured badge while making recent reviews more important to ratings.
